Our AWS Cloud Platforms Manager is seeking candidates for a talented AWS Cloud Architect, to be based in our Liverpool, Leeds, or Manchester office.


Help Marsh build the best public cloud technology solutions.


Share our ambition, join our Global Platform Engineering Product Management team, who together, develop our Global infrastructure platforms (AWS Public Cloud).


Working with great autonomy, you will bring your in-depth understanding of AWS public cloud technologies, to ensure all appropriate options are considered to support business initiatives.


Collaborating on our multi-year, cloud-first strategy, you will bring a proactive approach to your development & build our new and existing, automated proposition, Self-Service products, and projects.


With investment from our CIO, we support our UK & EMEA Cloud First initiatives where you will also share your experience & talent with our global colleagues.

What you need to have:



  • Associate or Professional AWS certification or equivalent working experience as an AWS Cloud Architect or AWS Cloud Engineer

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles, including Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and serverless computing

  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and EKS

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VPC


What makes you stand out?



  • Strong experiencing designing Cloud Solutions in large enterprise environments.

  • Coding and DevOps experience:  Python, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub, GitOps, Pipelines.

  • Proficiency or knowledge of other Cloud providers.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to or experience of working collaboratively with global cross-functional teams.


We will rely on you to:



  • Develop and implement cloud migration strategies to move existing on-premises workloads to AWS

  • Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, including architecture diagrams, process diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications.

  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure that cloud solutions meet industry and regulatory standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

  • Stay current with AWS services and industry trends to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for cost, performance, and reliability.

  • Mentor and train other IT team members on AWS best practices and cloud architecture.
