We are preparing to open an exciting new Greek restaurant in the heart of the city, offering an elevated and immersive dining experience. With a focus on bold flavors, exceptional service, and high-energy vibes, our 250-seat venue promises to become a standout destination. Led by a Michelin-experienced chef and a general manager with a passion for hospitality, we’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Reception Manager to join our team and help bring our vision to life.
Position Overview:
As the Reception Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed and valued. You’ll play a key role in setting the tone for the guest experience, managing reservations, and overseeing the front-of-house team. Your big energy, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment will be essential as you work with our Michelin-experienced chef and general manager to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the front-of-house team to provide exceptional service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Oversee the reservation system, ensuring efficient guest flow and optimal seating arrangements for the 250-seat restaurant.
- Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner, managing waitlists and handling special requests.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout service.
- Ensure all guest inquiries and concerns are handled promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage guest feedback, both positive and constructive, and use it to continuously improve service.
- Train and mentor junior reception staff, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s service standards and embody the brand’s values.
- Maintain a polished and professional front-of-house operation, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail at all times.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing reservations, guest profiles, and event bookings.
- Support the general manager in ensuring the smooth running of the front-of-house operations.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Reception Manager, Front-of-House Supervisor, or in a similar role, ideally in a high-end or Michelin-starred environment.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and customer service excellence.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage reservations and guest flow in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in using reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) and basic office software.
- A passion for Greek cuisine and hospitality, with a keen interest in contributing to the restaurant’s success.
- A positive, proactive, and energetic attitude, ready to lead by example in a fast-paced setting.
