My client are looking for a Project Director to oversee their Grid and Data Centre solutions as part of the senior leadership team. This role will manage a team of Project Managers and engineers, ensuring successful project execution while driving business growth in the region.


The position will lead medium to large-scale projects across key markets, including the UK, Spain, Germany, and the Middle East, with a strategic focus on further expansion across the EMEA region.


A key aspect of this role is securing new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of our power generation solutions. This role offers the chance to contribute to energy and infrastructure projects in a dynamic, international environment.


The preferred location for this position is the UK, with offices in Glasgow and London. Regular travel to international offices, client sites, and project locations across the region will be required.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead new business initiatives and manage financial targets for the regional Grid and Data Centre division.

  • Collaborate with business development teams to secure new projects with both existing and new clients.

  • Oversee engineering design, owners’ engineer projects, and medium-scale EPC projects.

  • Manage multiple clients and projects, navigating complex structures, locations, and stakeholders.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, including those associated with fixed-price contracts, emerging technologies, and new market entries.


Management Responsibilities


  • Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Extensive experience in Grid, Substation, and/or Data Centre projects.

  • 10+ years in project management or leadership roles within engineering and construction.

  • Proven track record managing mid-scale EPC/EPCM projects, preferably from a contractor’s perspective.

  • Strong leadership experience, including senior-level client management.

  • Demonstrated success in business development and strategic growth initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of the UK market, including key clients, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Project management certification is a plus.
