About the role

In your role as Senior Project Manager you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to be responsible for managing a team of IT Project Managers which is critical for the delivery of the IT Portfolio plan.You will manage the delivery of medium to large-sized projects, and/or larger programmes (a mix of technical and non-technical work packages) using an agreed project management methodology.

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the IT you will be responsible for:

  • Lead planning and delivery of medium to large IT projects and programmes
  • Produce and maintain project documentation to a high standard
  • Support IT Portfolio Manager with planning, reporting, and resource allocation
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication
  • Mentor IT Project Managers and support development planning
  • Ensure adherence to governance and change control processes
  • Promote and implement best practice in project and resource management

About you

  • Strong knowledge and experience in project management and governance
  • Certified by a recognised project management body (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
  • Proven track record delivering complex IT projects and programmes
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience managing third-party IT suppliers
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud and networking
