HR Officer

As HR Officer you will support core business by providing a professional, responsive and confidential HR service for Prima Group. As part of the wider team, you will help to foster an inclusive working environment and work with the Group to build on the positive employee engagement initiatives we have in place to enhance our ‘One Team’ culture with Prima Values at the forefront.
Location: Flexible hybrid working arrangements between home and Prima offices (Columbus Quay or Twickenham Drive)
Salary: £32,000 - £34,666 dependant on experience Per annum
HR Officer Main Duties:
- Provide day to day HR services to support the business ensuring employee matters are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Review and implement all HR policies and procedures and ensure that they comply with current legislation.
- Support the Learning & Development Officer in identifying mandatory training and development opportunities for employees to enable fulfilment of roles across the Group.
- Manage the company HR portal ensuring accurate HR records are maintained.
- Resolve people management issues in line with company policy, employment law and best practice.
- Support Line managers with attendance, misconduct and performance issues and performance plan maintenance.
- Provide support and guidance on all employee relations matters, inclusive of but not limited to meeting attendance, hearing outcomes, appeals and assisting with implementation of next steps.
- Support the HR & Group Services Assistant in providing an effective onboarding service for new starters inclusive of a full Induction programme.
- Manage monthly payroll instruction for the finance team.
- Manage the administration of the Group pension scheme and ensure all automatic enrolment duties are carried out in line with legislation.
- Manage the administration of the employee benefits package.
- Lead on all aspects of Employee Engagement across Prima Group. Developing and managing a forum to encourage feedback on the employee experience.
- Support the Head of HR & Group Services to implement the People Strategy for the Group.
- Collate HR information and reports as required by other departments.
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
- Work within a confidential environment, where a relationship of mutual trust is essential, to ensure that commercially sensitive and/or confidential information is handled appropriately and remains secure.
HR Officer Person Requirements:
- Educated to A’ Level standard or CIPD Qualified (Level 5 preferred)
- Degree level qualification or continued professional development (Desirable)

Skills & Competencies for the role:
- Experience of working in a HR Advisory role
- Experience in the application of company HR policy and procedures
- Good knowledge of Employment Legislation
- Experience of working within a confidential environment where a relationship of mutual trust is essential, to ensure that commercially sensitive and/or confidential information is handled appropriately and remains secure
- Experience of working with MS Office.
- Managing HR and Industrial Relations would be advantageous to the role.
