Join our team as a Road Sweeper Technician and bring your expertise in heavy machinery to a rewarding new role!
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Road Sweeper Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of road sweepers. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in heavy plant, forklift, HGV, or agricultural machinery, who are ready to apply their mechanical and electrical knowledge in a new and growing sector
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on road sweepers and associated hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure fleet reliability and compliance
Diagnose faults quickly and effectively, reducing downtime and keeping machines operational
Maintain accurate records of work carried out using job cards and service systems
Work both in the workshop and on-site, providing support to keep machines in service
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter, Forklift Engineer, HGV Technician, or similar mechanical role
Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, and diesel engines
Ability to read technical diagrams and follow maintenance procedures
Full UK driving licence (HGV/LGV licence advantageous but not essential)
A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work
