Business Development Manager (SaaS)
Starting salary £37,000+, depending on experience
Location: Love2shop, Liverpool
Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week
The role:
Love2shop are hiring for a Business Development Manager (SaaS) to join a friendly team in our Liverpool office. The successful candidate will drive significant proactive new business growth for the Love2shop Engagement Team using a proactive sales approach to build and progress a new business pipeline by engaging with prospective Clients both within our broad client base and from responding to inbound enquiries. You will deliver and exceed annual targets by becoming the expert on our SaaS solutions.
Our contracted working hours are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around start and finish times.
3 days per week in our vibrant Liverpool city centre head office, 2 days working from home.
The successful candidate must have flexibility to meet clients face to face.
Main responsibilities:
- Execute a sales plan for new business that delivers and exceeds sales and contribution targets
- Sales cycle management: Work with the wider sales and marketing teams to nurture new leads and opportunities from our existing client portfolio.
- Identify, prioritise and qualify prospects and drive them through the sales process to contract
- Cultivate relationships with customers, decision-makers, and thought leaders
- Manage your clients post-delivery to build and maintain a robust client relationship.
- Stay up to date on ongoing new product features and their potential impact on new prospects and clients.
- Manage all pre-sales activities, including presentations in sales meetings and demonstrations
- Maintain an updated and accurate sales pipeline in Salesforce and report on this weekly.
- Build and maintain product knowledge: To understand capabilities and to be able to solution match to client needs.
- Attend industry functions and trade shows on occasions.
- Ensuring all client requirements are clearly documented to handover to the wider team post sale.
- Gain HOD sign off on all Contracts and Solution Designs.
To succeed you'll have:
- Determination and passion to drive revenue.
- This role relies heavily on relationship-building and an in-depth understanding of our product offerings.
- The ideal candidate will present our solution to potential new clients and manage them through the entire sales cycle through to handover to the implementation team.
- As Business Development Manager, you must be capable of obtaining an in-depth understanding of your prospects' business operations along with a sound understanding of their key drivers for change.
- Experience selling modular technology/SaaS
- First class communicator and presenter utilising all the latest technologies
- Inspirational / motivational /enthusiastic
- Excellent Client and Commercial focus
