A leading company in the Road Haulage and Transport Services sector is currently looking for a Saw Operative to join their team at their Liverpool site. The role offers a temporary contract with working hours 2 days a week (these days can be negotiated with site) 08:00am to 16:00pm, at an hourly rate of £15.
Please note that, if successful, this role requires drug and alcohol testing prior to your start date and periodically throughout the assignment.

Key Responsibilities
- Use hand and table saws to cut down tough plastic materials.
- Assist with clearing plastic waste from the yard by efficiently cutting and organising materials.
- Follow health and safety procedures while operating power tools and handling materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all plastic waste is properly disposed of.
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and meet site requirements.
- Proficient in using hand saws, table saws, and other cutting tools to handle tough materials, particularly plastics.
- Ability to manage, organise, and dispose of plastic waste effectively while ensuring minimal waste.
- Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety guidelines when operating tools and handling materials.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and cutting large pieces of plastic. Efficient in completing tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of work. Ability to pass regular drug and alcohol tests
