We are working with a leader in threat management, helping them to bring in an experienced developer to work alongside their Threat/Forensics team.

At the heart of their Managed Security Service (MSS) is a proprietary platform that integrates with core service technologies via API.

This platform automates workflows, enriches alerts, and enhances security operations, ensuring efficient threat detection and response.

About the Role

YOU will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining modules within the company’s proprietary automation platform. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing new modules to integrate functionality from various cybersecurity tools.


• Developing bespoke reporting features.


• Migrating reporting capabilities to a new company portal.


• Ensuring quality assurance and version control of the codebase.


• Managing releases and maintaining comprehensive documentation of platform workflows and functionality.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong experience working in a Linux environment.


• Proficiency with RESTful API processes.


• Hands-on experience with database systems such as MySQL and SQLite.


• Proven ability to work on multiple production projects simultaneously.


• Experience creating user documentation.


• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.


• Bash shell scripting expertise.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and GDPR compliance.


• Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, Matplotlib, and python-docx.


• Experience with Atlassian APIs (e.g., Opsgenie, Jira Service Management).


• Understanding of cybersecurity products (e.g., Darktrace, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender).


• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.


• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
