The role
As a Driver, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established contract providing class leading support to the UK Ministry of Defence as a Driver at RAF Woodvale

Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for:

• Undertake aircraft ground handling and driving duties as required by the contract, including but not limited to fuel bowser driving on shift to support flying operations, runway sweeping, aircraft refuelling, and aircraft marshalling.


• Perform daily, weekly, and other necessary maintenance and checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance to support flying operations.


• Control all vehicle-related administration.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Woodvale. The shift roster is made up of the following shifts: 07:00-19:00 and 10.30–22:30 and also late finishes as business requirements 7 days a week.

Essential experience of the Driver

• Previously held a similar role and possess a working knowledge of DVSA/DGSA transport administration requirements.


• Previously worked in an environment that provided a working knowledge of transport and driver legal requirements.


• Experience of working within a military environment.


• Experience of handling aircraft in a military or civilian EASA Pt 145 environment.

Qualifications for the Driver

• PSV, LGV, & ADR Qualified (candidates who do not hold all licenses may still be considered).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DBS security clearance for this role.
