Freelance Shopify Developer – 1 Day API Migration Project - #1693937

The Project:

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify developer to help us migrate our headless Remix app from the old Checkout API to the Storefront Cart API. It’s a focused project estimated to take one day.

Scope:

• Branch off master


• Set up the project locally


• Upgrade to the latest Shopify API version


• Resolve any issues with KVSession caused by the API upgrade


• Fix any other breaking changes (e.g. image sizing issues)


• Update the checkout button links in both the bag and mini bag to use the Storefront Cart API


• Update the shipping rate estimator in the bag to use the Storefront Cart API (We use countries.ts for mock address data during shipping estimation)


• Make sure that if a user clicks "Checkout", then navigates back, edits the cart, and clicks "Checkout" again, the checkout reflects the updated cart contents


• Push your branch and submit a preview branch for testing

You’ll Need:

• Strong Shopify API skills


• Experience with Remix and headless architecture

Project Details:

• Remote (open to developers worldwide)


• Ideally completed within the next 1-2 weeks


• Please include your rate in your application


• May lead to additional development work
