Our client is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor with over 45 years of experience delivering M&E services across commercial, education, healthcare, and public sector projects.
With a strong North-West presence and an annual turnover exceeding £70 million, they’re known for their dependable delivery and long-standing client relationships. The team is technically solid, commercially savvy, and committed to doing things properly.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on leadership role, managing mechanical packages on major projects from pre-start through to handover. You’ll be involved in planning, coordination, site management, and keeping everything aligned across subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Expect your role to include:

Planning and delivering mechanical building services installations

Leading site teams, managing subcontractors, and supporting supervisors

Coordinating with design and engineering consultants
-
Ensuring work is delivered on time, to spec, and within budget

Monitoring health and safety and ensuring compliance across your sites

Attending project meetings and reporting progress to senior stakeholders

Working closely with electrical project leads to ensure smooth delivery
You’ll be given the trust and responsibility to manage your own projects, with support when you need it and autonomy when you don’t.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or similar in the M&E sector

A solid understanding of mechanical systems and building services installation

Experience managing projects across commercial, healthcare, or education sectors

Strong coordination and communication skills

A calm, solutions-focused approach to delivery

Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or building services

A full driving licence and willingness to travel across sites in the North-West
