SEND Teaching Assistant

£85-£95 per day depending on experience


About the role:


Connex Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND High School in North Liverpool who cater for pupils with Autism and Learning Disabilities.


About the School:


This fantastic SEND School aims to provide an outstanding eductional provision to pupils aged 11-19 years. All staff have a clear understanding of pupils needs, they communicate well with parents and carers, going the extra mile for all pupils. They create a calm and engaging environment where pupils progress.


Assignment details:


This role is flexible and will be on a day to day basis to cover sicknesses and planned absences. You can pick and choose which days you would like to work. The hours are 8.45am-3.45pm Monday-Friday.

Person specification:



  • Experience of supporting children or young adults with Autism, SLD and PMLD in a School or residential setting

  • Be able to get to know pupils and get a good undertstanding of needs.

  • Able to communicate well and be patient as well as being self-regulated and calm.

  • Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.

  • Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
