As a Veterinary Care Assistant working in the Heswall practice, you will be an integral part of the practice team.


Working with our Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Nurses, and Student nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.


• Provide a gold standard service to our patients and clients
• Follow cleaning protocols to maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment


40 hours a week, including some weekends.

Role Accountabilities:


At Medivet, exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do. You will:



  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.

  • Support operations and procedures.

  • Provide patient monitoring and care, including walking, toileting, and feeding.

  • Ensure completion of all pre- and post-operation activities.

  • Assist with patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.

  • Dispense medication under veterinary supervision.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.


Your Skills and Experience:



  • Experience working as part of a team and building positive relationships.

  • Ability to provide exceptional care to clients and patients.

  • Strong client care skills, remaining calm under pressure.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload.

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.

  • Understanding of regulation and compliance importance.
