Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer (Remote)


Salary: £44,000-£50,000


Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)

Role Overview:


As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining deployment pipelines, ensuring the systems are robust, scalable, and secure. This is a perfect opportunity for a skilled professional with a background in software engineering and a keen interest in transitioning to DevOps.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Pulumi.

  • Write and maintain scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate tasks.

  • Configure and manage cloud services in Microsoft Azure.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

  • Create and manage configuration files using YAML.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise system reliability and performance.


Key Skills and Qualifications:



  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi and Terraform.

  • Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.

  • Experience with YAML for configuration management.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.


Desirable:



  • Previous experience in a DevOps or Software Engineering role.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

  • Certification in relevant cloud and DevOps technologies (e.g., Azure Certifications).
