Your new role Our client is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support the estimating function by preparing accurate and competitive bids for mechanical installations on diverse and often multi-million-pound projects. Based in Liverpool, you will play a key role in identifying costs and contributing to successful tender submissions that support the company's commercial success.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and compiling mechanical estimates from initial enquiry to final submission

• Analysing project drawings, specifications, and technical documents

• Researching and sourcing accurate material, labour, and equipment costs

• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure robust pricing and technical compliance

• Supporting negotiations with clients and subcontractors as required

• Attending post-tender meetings and assisting with bid presentations

• Providing input and support to junior members of the estimating team

• Keeping updated with market trends and cost fluctuations

What you will need to succeed:

• A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline

• Previous experience in a mechanical estimating role within the construction or M&E sector

• Good understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and tendering processes

• Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to pricing

• Clear and confident communication skills

• Right to work in the UK

• Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if required
