We are seeking a motivated Junior Clinical Safety Officer with a passion for patient safety and a keen interest in developing their skills in healthcare risk management. This role is a full-time position with participation in the on-call rota.

Duties & Responsibilities
As a Junior Clinical Safety Officer your key duties and responsibilities would be to support the Clinical Safety function in ensuring that all digital health solutions meet internal and external standards and regulations.
You would work under the guidance of a qualified Clinical Safety Officer to:
- Ensure that every product in scope remains fully compliant with the internal standards and policy and external regulations.
- Engage with other clinicians and wider teams to ensure the safe design and implementation of the System C product suite.
- Participate in clinical risk assessment activities for products as directed.
- Work with the team to perform safety activities and produce safety documentation as directed.
- Assist with investigation, reporting, prioritisation, root cause analysis and resolution of safety issues.
- Help to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organisation.
- Assist with external auditors and follow through all recommendations raised.
- Take part in on call and out of hours responsibilities.
- Maintain personal clinical registration and competence sufficient to discharge the Junior clinical safety role.
- Undertake or assist any further reports or safety work under direction of SCSO e.g. regular safety reports, product safety cases, clinical safety assessments, hazard logs, clinical evaluations and associated clinical documentation etc for assigned products across the alliance.
The post holder must:
- Hold a current registration with a professional clinical body e.g. NMC (nurses/midwives), HCPC (AHPs).
- Have NHS informatics experience in the use of EPR/software.
- Have an understanding of a variety of clinical workflows within the NHS/private healthcare setting.
- Have an understanding of the NHS and wider Healthcare market / suppliers / competitors.
- Organisational skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and negotiating skills, ability to communicate clinical risks to non-clinical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to exhibit patience and understanding.
- Knowledge of the Medical Device Regulation and DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards and requirements.
- Has attended (or will be expected to attend) an accredited CSO course.
- An understanding of system analysis, design, development, testing, release, support & maintenance best practice and lifecycles.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Salesforce.
