Your new role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will support the effective operation of plant equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities include:



  • Problem-solving equipment issues and recovering reactive breakdowns.

  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement (C.I.) projects.

  • Completing routine maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.

  • Installing, relocating, and modifying equipment and machinery.

  • Ensuring maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.

What you'll need to succeed
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:



  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to quickly resolve maintenance issues.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and dynamic risk assessments.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

  • Experience in identifying and implementing improvements.

Need to have:



  • Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND) with an apprenticeship.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance/engineering environment.

  • Experience with improvement projects.

  • Good communication skills.

Nice to have:



  • Maintenance supervision experience.

  • Experience with heat treatment equipment.

  • Experience with a CMMS.

  • Forklift truck and IPAF licences.
