ROLE SUMMARY


Achieves business results through managing the defined sales territory, building strong relationships with Healthcare Professionals regarding the company’s products, in compliance with AZ code of conduct. Develops product and patient needs knowledge, works under supervision.


What you’ll do


Key / distinctive responsibilities:



  • Providing information to HCPs about AZ products, including promotion in accordance with company policies.

  • Acting as a champion for other functions.

  • Supporting the manager with competitive intelligence and data collection for the team.

  • Managing financial aspects related to sales activities.

  • Enhancing personal knowledge & skills.

  • Achieving targets for content-driven engagement, including daily interactions, call rates, and coverage.

  • Implementing team and cross-BU initiatives to improve overall sales performance and quality of work; participating in or driving corporate projects (SFE, KEE development, mentorship, etc.); facilitating best practice exchange; assisting in regional meetings and training.


Along with:



  • Engaging healthcare professionals in dialogue about approved indications, efficacy, and safety to support on-label prescribing.

  • Promoting AZ products ethically and effectively through various channels.

  • Building and maintaining a qualitative customer database and long-term relationships.

  • Providing feedback on client contacts and activities.

  • Maintaining excellent knowledge of products, diseases, and competitors.

  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve objectives.

  • Monitoring and implementing actions to enhance performance.

  • Conducting market research to analyze healthcare needs and competitor activities.

  • Assessing sales performance and market trends with FLSM.

  • Driving sales to meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.

  • Developing in-depth market and demographic knowledge.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulations regarding interactions and sample distribution.

  • Completing all required training and examinations.


Administration:



  • Timely reporting of activities in Veeva CRM.

  • Adhering to reporting and administrative standards.


Corporate Responsibility:



  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and following AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics.

  • Ensuring activities comply with local legislation and corporate policies.

  • Timely reporting of health, safety, and conflict of interest issues.


Note: Only applications based in KSA will be considered.


Essential for the role



  • Minimum two years of experience promoting medical products in a multinational environment or equivalent.

  • Performance record of at least 90% achievement over the past two years, with 100% in the last year if no two-year data exists.

  • Product and medical knowledge averaging 90% over the last four quarters.

  • KPIs: 90% coverage and 90% daily interactions in the last year.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with HCPs.

  • Professional knowledge of healthcare environment, compliance, diseases, science, and therapy areas.

  • Strong selling skills, business acumen, and planning abilities.

  • Self-motivation, development focus, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Knowledge of TAP and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Ability to gather competitive intelligence.
