ABOUT THE ROLE
As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of driving sales and revenue growth. You’ll identify new business opportunities in different sectors in the UK and globally. You’ll build strategic partnerships and work closely with internal teams to create business proposals and close deals. Having a good technical/engineering background is required.
Initially for the first 6 months, the role with be office based, we work Monday – Friday 8am -5pm.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
- Work closely with the Director and sales team, to identify new business with good potential to develop sales with existing customers
- Execute successful business plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships new and existing customers
- Initiate marketing campaigns to find new leads
- Regular and accurate forecasting of opportunities, providing intel for both short- and long-term deals
- Write and bid for tenders
KEY SKILLS:
- Sales & Negotiation skills – ability to close deals and negotiate favourable terms for the business
- Communication & interpersonal skills – strong written and verbal communication and ability to build strong client relationships
- Strategic thinking – identify new markets and align business development to company goals
- Market research & analysis – understand industry trends, competitors and customers using data to make informed decisions
- Project Management – excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and provide ongoing progress updates and reports.
- Resilience & adaptability – thrive in a fast-paced target driven environment and handle rejection professionally. Demonstrate ability to work and make decisions under pressure.
- Writing and bidding for tenders
- Knowledge of working with supply chain
- Ability to work and build relationships in a small team
