This role combines hands-on development with architecture input, stakeholder collaboration, and technical mentoring. If you’re passionate about building well-engineered, high-impact integration platforms and solutions that support real-world business outcomes, then this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance integrations between enterprise systems and external platforms using APIs, file exchanges systems and messaging.
- Contribute to the development of a scalable Integration Platform and the best practice implementation of integrations.
- Collaborate with customers, finance, operations, and technology teams to streamline processes such as invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting through standardised integration patterns and data contracts.
- Shape our product’s integration architecture—ensuring reusability, scalability, and future-readiness across our growing ecosystem.
- Build custom connectors, scripts, and workflows where required (using technologies such as C#).
- Ensure all integrations adhere to security best practices, data protection regulations, and internal governance standards.
- Track integrations and performance though telemetry, instrumentation and observability to ensure a clear picture of which customers are using which patterns and endpoints/exchanges.
- Ensure DevOps practices for integration—supporting Git source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and deployment standards.
- Document technical designs, workflows, data mappings, and dependencies in a clear, maintainable format.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across integration projects.
- Participate in Agile delivery cycles—collaborating closely with cross-functional squads to plan, deliver, and review work
- 5+ years of experience in system integration, backend development, or software engineering.
- Deep understanding of integration patterns: APIs, webhooks, messaging, file sharing, data mapping, data transformation and ETL.
- Strong development background in C# or a similar language, with experience applying software engineering principles (e.g. SOLID, clean code).
- Experience with Azure Integration Platform as a Service technology (e.g. Azure Functions, Event Grids, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, APIs Management, etc).
- Proven experience with finance systems and data-sensitive processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices for automated deployment.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
