Technical Manager role based in Kirkby, Liverpool. Working for a growing plastics manufacturing company

Client Details

Our client is a leading and growing SME Manufacturing company within the plastics manufacturing sector. Following a sustained period of positive change and growth they are now recruiting a Technical Manager.

Description

► Responsibility for the management of team operators in conforming with Health and safety, Product Safety, Product Quality, and Environmental procedures, and the production of their plastic products to the required customer specification on production line(s).

► Takes responsibility for all site technical operations.

► Manages team members to meet the requirements of production output and operational efficiencies.

► Oversees the running of the Production and warehouse staff.

► Provides clear and confident directions to team members.

► Develops both individual and team objectives.

► Develops team flexibility across all departments using the shift skills matrix to identify training needs.

► Lead and push projects within the teams.

► Leads daily and weekly management meetings.

► Recording and analysis of daily production figures.

► Responsible for absence management and the tracking of absence and sickness rates.

► Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, making recommendations for improvement through Health & Safety meetings as appropriate.

► Senior fire marshal for the site.

► Authorises team holidays within company guidelines.

► Liaison with all departments.

► Participates in risk assessments related to health and safety, product safety, and contributes to the design and issue of related procedures to operating teams

Profile

► Previous experience in Management/Team Supervision

► Knowledge of plastics or a similar process manufacturing environment would be helpful

► IOSH Managing Safely/Working Safely.

► Product Safety, Hygiene, and environmental awareness training.

► Current FAAW Certificate
