Description The Global Business Line Manager has responsibility and oversight for several specific aspects of Aurorium’s Maleic Anhydride business. This role involves profit ownership, cost management, strategic planning, market analysis, relationship management, and supply chain coordination.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategies to profitably manage and optimize costs of the Maleic Anhydride business
  • Ensure network supply through development of security of supply strategies and sales growth initiatives
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for margin expansion and cost improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategies with company sales and production goals

Supply Chain Coordination and Relationship Management:

  • Own the value chain strategy and execute plans to coordinate the global supply chain
  • Lead monthly material allocation activities to ensure internal and external stakeholder requirements are satisfied
  • Identify and qualify new business partners and manage existing relationships
  • Lead effective contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Resolve contract-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner

Profit Expansion and Cost Management:

  • Own the profitability of the product line by developing and implementing effective channel partner, pricing, and cost reduction strategies
  • Lead customer and channel partner sales activities to ensure maximum profitability of the site
  • Drive sales growth through customer relationship management and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and report on business performance, adjusting strategies as needed

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, manufacturing and channel partners when coordinating daily business activities
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of business initiatives
  • Focus on process and operational cost efficiency to enhance profitability and competitiveness
  • Provide reports to senior management on business activities and progress

Regulatory Framework and Compliance:

  • Ensure all business activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the industry and implement necessary adjustments to business strategies
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on regulatory requirements and best practices

Compliance:

  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

Problem Solving and Innovation:

  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities
  • Participates in problem-solving
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
  • Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members

Qualifications/Desired Skills

Education And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience in the chemical industry.

  • Proven experience in business management, development, or sales.
  • Strong understanding of the maleic anhydride and related products industries.
