Deep Cleaning Supervisor – HMP Altcourse

We are seeking a DeepCleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at HMP Altcourse, ensuring professional Facilities Management services are delivered in line with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise deep cleaning activities across designated areas

  • Manage and supervise prisoners, ensuring safe and effective working practices

  • Control cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring correct use and storage

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, infection control, and hygiene standards

  • Maintain cleaning schedules and respond to emergency cleaning requirements

  • Report incidents, accidents, or issues to the line manager

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience supervising cleaning operations

  • Safe use of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to follow procedures and work to strict health & safety standards

  • Ability to work independently and support others

Desirable

  • Experience working in a secure environment

  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment

Key Competencies

  • Professional conduct and strong customer service focus

  • Ability to deliver objectives and work effectively with others

  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, floor care, sanitation, and waste management
