Tyrer Ecological Consultants Ltd

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Liverpool
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day
Tyrer Ecological Consultants Ltd

We are looking to hire a friendly, motivated, and capable Consultant Ecologist to help support us in carrying out a wide variety of habitat and protected species surveys.

We are located in north-west England, but have worked from the south coast up to south Scotland, and frequently work in Wales. Our existing team includes members with special interests in bats, birds, botanicals and amphibians who are always looking to share their knowledge and experience; but we are always looking to expand our skills and take on new challenges.

Our team strongly believes in obtaining a fair deal for wildlife and the environment, and we are looking for applicants who share a genuine interest and care for British nature. Our clients are also important to us, and we are looking for applicants who are able to understand and work with everyone from householder applicants through small developers to infrastructure projects. In line with our company ethos, we do not provide our services to projects which we feel do not properly consider ecological impacts.

Salary: £28-32,000 salary, depending upon experience.

Hours: Full-time, with some evening work expected (Flexible paid overtime and TOIL system in place)

Holiday/benefits: 28 days plus bank holidays, and birthday off (or next working day). Private health insurance.

Location: Formby office and fieldwork around the north-west (and further afield!).

N.B. This is not an entry-level position!
