Post Completion Assistant

A law firm based in Liverpool is seeking a Post Completion Assistant to join their busy Post Completion department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is Post Completion, Assistant organised, proactive, and keen to develop their experience within a supportive property team.

The Role

You will support the Post Completion Manager and wider property department by handling all post-completion matters following residential and commercial property transactions. The role focuses on ensuring files are concluded accurately, lender requirements are met, and registrations are completed within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submitting applications to HM Land Registry, including registrations of transfers, leases, discharges and charges
  • Responding to Land Registry requisitions accurately and within deadlines
  • Preparing and serving Notices and other documentation to Freeholders/Management Companies and arranging payments
  • Registering and redeeming mortgages and ensuring compliance with lender requirements
  • Closing files in line with firm procedures and regulatory standards
  • Updating the case management system and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with lenders, clients and the Land Registry
  • Monitoring lender portals to assign fee earners, download mortgage offers and upload AP1 evidence and registration documents
  • Tracking outstanding post-completion matters and diarising key dates (including OS1 priority periods)
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA, AML and internal firm policies
  • Assisting fee earners with post-completion queries
  • Supporting the Post Completion Manager and providing holiday cover where needed
  • Escalating complex issues to management when appropriate
