The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and support staff to create a positive learning environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn.
Your Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
Support children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning challenges.
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver personalised learning plans and interventions.
Use creative, practical, sensory, and play-based approaches to encourage engagement and participation.
Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, school staff, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children succeed and who can bring patience, positivity, and resilience to the role.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
Experience working with children in a school, SEND, care, residential, or support setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one.
The ability to provide professional references.
