Your new role
This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to be based in either Liverpool or North Wales, with the option for remote working. Occasional travel to office and site locations will be required in line with business needs.
- Lead and support the preparation, submission, and management of environmental and planning permit applications
- Liaise with regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and consents
- Interpret and advise on environmental legislation, permitting requirements, and compliance obligations
- Prepare technical documentation including permit applications, environmental statements, and supporting reports
- Monitor and track permit conditions, ensuring ongoing compliance throughout project delivery.
- Provide clients with clear guidance on regulatory risks, timelines, and permitting strategies
- Support environmental assessments, including impact assessments and risk evaluations aligned with permitting requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs and project plans meet regulatory standards
- Assist with audits, inspections, and responses to regulatory queries or enforcement matters
- Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and compliance documentation
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in an environmental or related field
- Experience within engineering, environmental consultancy, or a related technical field
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach to team working
- Ability to manage workload and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant, and sustainable solutions
