Financial Controller (Interim - 3 to 5 Months)
Location: Outskirts of Liverpool (4 days office / 1 day WFH)
Salary: Up to £80,000 (pro rata) depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, day rate (3-5 months)

A well-established and highly respected business based on the outskirts of Liverpool is seeking an ACA-qualified Financial Controller to join their team on an interim basis for a 3-5 month assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation with modern offices, a collaborative finance team, and a strong reputation in their sector. The role is pivotal to ensuring financial control and accuracy during a crucial period for the business.

• 
  Investigate and resolve issues within the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
• 
  Assist with preparation and delivery of year-end statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP/IFRS
• 
  Manage and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance and consistency across the business
• 
  Provide technical financial advice and support to senior stakeholders
• 
  Work closely with auditors and provide necessary documentation during the audit process
• 
  Reconcile complex accounts and oversee journal entries and adjustments
• 
  Ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes
• 
  Support process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• 
  Mentor and support junior finance staff where required
• 
  Be a hands-on and proactive team player within a fast-paced finance function

• 
  ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong technical financial background
• 
  Proven experience in financial control roles within complex organisations
• 
  Hands-on and analytical, with the ability to deep dive into financial data and solve problems
• 
  Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• 
  Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  Competitive day rate/salary up to £80,000 (depending on experience)
