Our client Liverpool city council is looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering support and supervision team.

We are looking for a new social worker within Fostering Support and Supervision, to specifically support foster carers who have recently been assessed under Regulation 24.

Candidates must be experienced in Fostering - specifically within Support and Supervision and have strong knowledge of Fostering Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Fostering Standards to apply for the role

The role includes;

  • Providing high level of support and guidance to Foster Carers ensuring they meet the national minimum standards and Fostering regulations and children achieve their potential and best possible outcomes
  • Identifying any training needs of the Foster Carers and ensuring foster cares complete statutory training
  • Regular supervision visits to all Foster Carers, undertaking high quality sessions
  • Completion of formal annual reviews
  • Making informed child centred decisions, applying critical reflection and analysis in complex cases
  • Ability to meet demands of the service, producing consistent high quality work to good standard within set timescales
  • Ensure children and young people are safeguarded in their foster placements
