The Role

Working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a varied client base.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with statutory audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing audit files and supporting audit fieldwork
• Completing substantive testing and audit documentation
• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
• Assisting with corporation tax computations where required
• Working directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships
• Identifying areas for improvement and adding value throughout the audit process
• Supporting and mentoring trainees where appropriate
• Working closely with senior members of the team to develop your technical knowledge

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or AAT qualified with audit experience)
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Experience assisting on statutory audits
• Good understanding of UK accounting standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The ambition to continue progressing towards professional qualification
