Senior Finance Manager / Fixed Term Contract

Adele Carr Recruitmentis supporting a organisation in Liverpool, with the appointment of a commercial Finance Manager / Financial Controller on a full time, interim contract.

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to maternity leave and the organisation is planning on a thorough hand over period. You will be an experienced qualified accountant with experience in a No 2 capacity and fully confident in your ability to lead the day-to-day finance function.

This is far more than your standard FTC as you will have genuine autonomy to lead a talented finance team while driving projects, improving systems and supporting key commercial decisions across a diverse and complex operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and support the Finance Director and board.
• Manage and coach a small finance team and support training and development
• Deliver monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
• Business partner with operational leaders / budget holders across the business
• Drive process improvements, systems development and automation initiatives
• Lead finance projects and improve reporting across multiple finance systems

Ideally, you will be

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Finance Business Partner
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Systems savvy with an interest in process improvement, automation and technology
• Prove leadership skills and experience
• Experienced within complex organisations with various revenue streams and / or high-volume transactional environments.
