- Take full accountability for electrical design across lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire detection, and emergency systems.
- Deliver calculations and ensure compliance with Amtech (or equivalent software).
- Oversee submissions to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) and manage design gateway processes for higher-risk projects.
- Provide advice and implement sustainable design practices, collaborating closely with the internal sustainability team.
- Focus on low-carbon systems, energy modelling, and building compliance for Part L standards.
- Represent the consultancy at client meetings, design reviews, and wider project discussions.
- Confidently interface with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, aligning project visions with deliverables.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture within the team.
- Deliver projects spanning high-rise residential and commercial private sector developments.
- Handle end-to-end planning and ensure adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- You'll be degree qualified with at least 7 years' experience in a building services consultancy environment.
- Extensive background in high-rise residential and commercial projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Regulator framework for higher-risk projects.
- Skilled in using electrical calculation software - Amtech preferred.
- Proficiency in sustainable design practices with emphasis on low-carbon and energy-efficient systems.
- IEng or CEng accreditation, or actively working towards accreditation, is highly desirable.
- A proactive outlook with a passion for mentoring, problem-solving, and driving excellence.
