Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, technical packages and construction documentation using Revit.
- Lead the technical delivery of projects from planning through construction.
- Produce accurate BIM models and ensure compliance with project BIM standards and protocols.
- Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP and specialist consultants.
- Resolve technical design issues while maintaining design intent, statutory compliance and buildability.
- Review and manage drawing quality, accuracy and consistency across project teams.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Attend design team meetings, client meetings and site visits as required.
- Assist in preparing planning, tender and construction information.
- Ensure projects comply with Building Regulations, planning requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and best practice.
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist within a UK architectural practice.
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale high-rise and multistorey commercial developments.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit with a strong understanding of BIM workflows.
- Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant information.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Membership of CIAT or working towards chartership.
- Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and clash detection.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and modern methods of construction.
- Experience across mixed-use, office, retail or commercial developments.
- Proactive and solutions-focused.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Committed to producing high-quality technical work.
- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
