Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, develop and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, technical packages and construction documentation using Revit.
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects from planning through construction.
  • Produce accurate BIM models and ensure compliance with project BIM standards and protocols.
  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP and specialist consultants.
  • Resolve technical design issues while maintaining design intent, statutory compliance and buildability.
  • Review and manage drawing quality, accuracy and consistency across project teams.
  • Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to project teams.
  • Attend design team meetings, client meetings and site visits as required.
  • Assist in preparing planning, tender and construction information.
  • Ensure projects comply with Building Regulations, planning requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and best practice.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist within a UK architectural practice.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale high-rise and multistorey commercial developments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit with a strong understanding of BIM workflows.
  • Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • Membership of CIAT or working towards chartership.
  • Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and clash detection.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and modern methods of construction.
  • Experience across mixed-use, office, retail or commercial developments.
