An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Supply Chain Administrator to join a busy and supportive team in Liverpool.
This role is ideal for an experienced administrator with a background in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, finance or commercial administration. You will play a key role in supporting supplier management, purchase order processing, invoice administration and day-to-day supply chain operations, helping to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with business procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Category Managers and Buyers with raising, reconciling and receipting purchase orders.
- Monitoring unmatched invoice reports and supporting supplier and subcontractor compliance.
- Assisting with the accurate processing of invoices and credits within agreed timescales.
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice, payment and account queries.
- Processing purchase orders and goods receipts in accordance with company procedures and financial controls.
- Managing shared inboxes and responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Supporting supplier account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies where required.
- Maintaining supplier records, compliance documentation and quality management records.
- Carrying out data entry, database maintenance, filing and archiving to ensure accurate record keeping.
- Preparing spreadsheets, reports, presentations and business documents.
- Supporting audits, quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attending meetings and providing updates on ongoing activities and projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
- Previous administrative experience within a commercial, contractor, procurement, supply chain or similar environment.
- Experience working with purchase orders, supplier accounts, invoices or financial administration processes.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A full UK or EU driving licence.
Desirable
- NVQ in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience using housing, procurement or contractor management software.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and corrective action processes.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
