Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum – depending on experience
We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Streetworks Administrator to join a busy and growing utilities team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within the utilities and streetworks sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting streetworks activities, ensuring permits, notices and records are managed accurately and in line with industry regulations and local authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of streetworks activities and update internal systems.
- Run and update daily operational reports.
- Manage incoming telephone calls and queries.
- Register, start and close streetworks permits.
- Ensure permit information is recorded accurately and within required timescales.
- Provide administrative support to the Streetworks and Operations teams.
- Assist other departments when required, including providing cover during periods of sickness or annual leave.
- Support the efficient delivery of utility works through effective permit and documentation management.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous administration experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience within the utilities industry.
- Understanding of streetworks or permit administration processes.
