Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Liverpool Area

Engage Education are looking for a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school and make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and patient SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide tailored support to pupils across the primary age range. You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help children overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist children with their learning, communication and social development.
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents/carers where appropriate.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About You

• Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Reliable, adaptable and proactive.
• Experienced as a Teaching Assistant or working within an SEN setting (desirable, but not essential).
