Interim Head Of Finance - #2128301

Are you an experienced Head of Finance with a strong Social Housing background? Could you quickly take ownership of a broad finance remit and provide stability during a period of change?

We're supporting a Housing Association in Liverpool in the recruitment of an Interim Head of Finance. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll lead the day-to-day finance function while taking responsibility for several important planning and reporting priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the finance team and maintaining strong day-to-day delivery
• Overseeing month-end reporting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Taking a leading role in the annual budget and longer-term financial planning
• Providing clear financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders
• Maintaining oversight of controls, cash, borrowing and covenant performance
• Supporting financial decisions around development, assets and investment
• Driving practical improvements across finance where required

This inside IR35 assignment is expected to start during September and run initially until the end of January 2027, with potential for extension. Hybrid working is available with two days per week in the Liverpool office.

To be considered, you will need:

• A recognised professional accounting qualification
• Significant Social Housing finance experience
• Previous Head of Finance, Financial Controller or equivalent senior-level experience
• Strong reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience
• The confidence to lead a team and work effectively with senior stakeholders
• Brixx experience is advantageous.
