An established freight forwarder in Liverpool is expanding its ocean freight division and hiring an Ocean Export Operator. If you are an experienced ocean freight forwarder looking to manage global sea cargo operations and expand your ocean export career, this is an outstanding opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ocean Export Freight Management: Execute end-to-end ocean export operations, booking global containerized and LCL shipments, planning vessel routes, and managing ocean export files.
• Ocean Carrier Negotiation: Negotiate ocean freight spot rates with major shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas freight forwarding agents to secure vessel space and maximize file margins.
• Ocean Export Documentation & Customs: Issue essential sea export documentation (Bills of Lading, FCL/LCL documentation, Certificates of Origin) and complete UK export customs clearances adhering to maritime compliance.
• Client Freight Operations: Serve as the primary ocean freight contact for key accounts, providing real-time vessel tracking and proactive cargo tracking updates.
• Ocean Freight Financial Control: Oversee ocean export file costing, control incoming carrier freight invoices, and execute client billing to maximize file profitability.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of UK ocean export freight forwarding experience.
• Solid background in ocean freight operations, sea export customs, Incoterms, and maritime documentation.
• Proficiency with freight management software (CargoWise, MultiFreight, or equivalent freight forwarding systems).
• Proven ability to coordinate ocean export cargo under strict shipping line and port closing cutoffs.
