Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Manager to lead an Assertive Outreach & Intensive Support service across the Liverpool City Region.

The service takes a strengths-based, person-centred approach, supporting people who are homeless, rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness to access long-term, sustainable accommodation and appropriate treatment services.

The role will focus on reducing recurrent homelessness, preventing accommodation breakdown and improving the health, wellbeing and independence of the people supported.

As Team Manager, you will have primary responsibility for two local authority areas and will lead a high-performing team to deliver high-quality, effective and efficient services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a multidisciplinary staff team working across different geographical locations.
  • Ensure all contractual requirements, performance measures and outcome targets are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Produce high-quality management information to support decision-making and drive positive system change.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, combined authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency in service delivery while recognising local geographical and political differences.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure expenditure remains within agreed limits.
  • Promote a strengths-based, person-centred approach across all aspects of service delivery.
  • Support the development of a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with relevant policies, procedures and contractual requirements.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional practitioner and experienced people leader who can demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience of managing teams within homelessness, housing, health, social care or a related support environment.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and/or rough sleeping.
  • Experience of working against contractual requirements, performance standards and outcome targets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to analyse performance information and use data to drive service improvements.
  • Experience of managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across different organisations and geographical areas.
  • A commitment to strengths-based, person-centred and inclusive practice.

Working Pattern

The service operates predominantly Monday to Friday, however, flexibility is required to provide occasional cover for early mornings, late evenings and weekends, by arrangement.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, as the position operates across multiple local authority areas.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of £35,412 – £39,152 per annum
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Supportive working environment
  • Good pension provision
  • Health and wellbeing benefits
  • Opportunity to lead an important service supporting people experiencing homelessness across the Liverpool City Region
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to people's lives and long-term outcomes
