We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially focused HR Business Partner to join a busy, fast-paced organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional who can build strong relationships with senior leaders and managers while delivering practical, commercially focused people solutions. Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly fast-moving environment would be highly advantageous.
Alongside providing day-to-day HR support, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wider HR projects, organisational improvements and strategic people initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and managers to support the delivery of business and people objectives.
- Provide commercially focused HR advice across a broad range of people matters.
- Coach and support managers through complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance matters.
- Take ownership of complex cases from initial advice through to resolution.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, talent management and employee development.
- Review absence data, trends and trigger points, working with managers to improve attendance.
- Support organisational change, restructuring, consultation and transformation programmes.
- Use HR data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive employee engagement, performance and retention initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Support and lead HR projects across areas such as wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, talent, engagement and HR systems.
- Build trusted and credible relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with current UK employment legislation.
About you
- Significant experience operating at HR Business Partner level within a fast-paced organisation.
- Previous experience within FMCG, manufacturing, food production or a similar operational environment would be highly desirable.
- Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Confident coaching, challenging and influencing managers and senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to balance employee needs, legal requirements and business priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation.
- Able to manage a demanding workload, work autonomously and take accountability for outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR data and identifying trends.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
- CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience using HR systems or Power BI would be advantageous.
