Now recruiting on behalf of an established Tier One M&E contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high value building services projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join the team.
Working on prestigious new-build developments across the High End Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors, you will play a pivotal role in securing major projects by managing the complete bid process from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.

The Role
As Bid Manager, you will take ownership of the entire tender lifecycle, working closely with estimating, commercial and operational teams to produce high-quality, competitive bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end bid process, from Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) through to final tender submission and post-tender negotiations.
Review complex M&E specifications, drawings and enquiry documentation to develop compelling, compliant and commercially competitive bid proposals.
Work alongside estimating teams to identify project risks, assess supply chain and subcontractor quotations, and develop robust commercial strategies that protect company margins.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal delivery teams to ensure effective communication throughout the tender process, arranging site visits where required.
Ensure all bid documentation, including technical submissions, method statements, Health & Safety/CDM information and commercial pricing, is completed accurately, presented professionally and submitted within strict deadlines via electronic procurement portals.
Produce comprehensive project handover documentation for operational teams following successful contract awards to ensure a seamless transition into project delivery.
Support continuous improvement of bid processes, ensuring submissions consistently reflect the company's high standards and technical expertise.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify risks and opportunities within tender submissions.
Exceptional written communication and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
The ability to build strong relationships with client and consultants
