Working Pattern: Hybrid working - approximately 50% on site
We are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturer within a specialist healthcare sector to lead their small QA function.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take the next step in their career, combining hands-on quality assurance responsibilities with the supervision and development of a small team.
Working closely with manufacturing operations and the wider quality function, you will help maintain high standards of GMP, food safety and product quality while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
• Supervise and support a small QA team ,providing day-to-day guidance and development.
• Oversee quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations.
• Maintain and improve GMP, food safety and quality standards.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
• Manage customer complaints, investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with operations to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of quality systems.
• Occasional European travel, approximately once a month.
About You
• We are looking for an experienced QA professional who has progressed beyond a purely laboratory-based role and has some supervisory or team leader experience.
• You may currently be working as a Senior QA, QA Supervisor, QA Team Leader or QC Manager and be looking for an opportunity to take on greater responsibility.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a small team.
Ideally, you will have:
• Experience within food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutrition or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Good working knowledge of GMP and food safety standards.
• Experience conducting audits and managing complaints or quality investigations.
• A relevant food safety or quality qualification.
