Housing Disrepair isn't a bolt-on practice area here. The firm has been working in this space for years, building considerable expertise in representing tenants living in unsafe or poorly maintained homes.

It's a specialist environment where Housing Disrepair lawyers work alongside people who understand the complexities of the work.

The role

You'll manage your own housing disrepair caseload from instruction through to resolution, taking responsibility.

for progressing matters efficiently and achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.

You'll be trusted to use your judgement rather than needing constant sign-off, while still having the support of an

experienced specialist team around you.

Your work will include:

• Managing your own Housing Disrepair caseload from start to finish

• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court bundles

• Advising clients throughout the litigation process

• Negotiating settlements and progressing claims towards resolution

• Liaising with counsel, experts and opponents

• Managing procedural requirements and court deadlines

• Contributing ideas around processes and best practice

• Keeping up to date with developments in Housing Disrepair law

What they're looking for

You'll be a qualified Solicitor with a solid litigation background and hands-on Housing Disrepair experience.

You'll need to be comfortable managing volume litigation, confident making decisions on your own files and

organised enough to keep cases moving without compromising client care.

Experience with Proclaim or a similar case management system would also be useful.

Progression

This isn't necessarily a role where you need to make another sideways move in two years to progress.

The firm is growing and there is scope for experienced solicitors who demonstrate strong technical ability and an

aptitude for supporting others to move towards Team Leader opportunities and a higher salary package.
