Digital Designer

An established digital consultancy is seeking a creative and versatile Digital Designer to join its collaborative team. Working across websites, mobile applications and bespoke digital solutions, you'll help deliver impactful projects for large public sector and regulated organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the full design lifecycle, from concept development and client engagement through to front-end implementation. You'll create accessible, user-focused digital experiences that balance creativity with functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design digital products from concept through to delivery, including wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Ensure all designs and builds align with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
• Contribute to projects built on CMS platforms such as WordPress and Umbraco.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Work closely with developers to ensure design intent is effectively translated into technical delivery.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
• Participate in discovery workshops and client-facing activities, with opportunities to develop facilitation skills.

Requirements

Essential

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a digital design role.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong creative and technical capabilities.
• Experience delivering projects from discovery through to front-end build.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Experience using Figma or similar prototyping tools.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Confident communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable

• Experience within a digital agency environment.
• Experience delivering projects for public sector or regulated organisations.
• Knowledge of WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
• Experience with SASS or other CSS preprocessors.
• Understanding of Git version control.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing and auditing tools.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Design, Digital Media or a related discipline.
