Are you an experienced Lead Dental Nurse or Senior Dental Nurse who knows dentistry inside out, but feels ready for something different?

We are recruiting for a Clinical Lead to join a luxury private dental practice in Liverpool city centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their clinical knowledge in a broader leadership, operational and commercially focused position.

Rather than being predominantly chairside, you will become a key link between the clinical and non-clinical sides of the practice – helping the wider team understand treatments, supporting patient journeys and ensuring the practice flows effectively.

The Role

You will become the practice’s go-to person for clinical knowledge and help ensure communication between clinicians, nurses, Front of House and the wider commercial team is seamless.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the overall clinical flow of the practice
• Acting as a point of clinical knowledge for non-clinical team members
• Supporting Front of House and patient-facing teams with treatment-related questions
• Helping the team understand terminology, treatment pathways and clinical processes
• Working closely with clinicians to ensure information is communicated accurately
• Supporting complex patient journeys, including implants and cosmetic dentistry
• Helping coordinate treatment and ensure patients move smoothly through the practice
• Identifying gaps or issues within the patient and clinical journey
• Supporting and mentoring Dental Nurses
• Helping maintain excellent clinical standards and processes
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team
• Supporting improvements across patient experience, efficiency and conversion
• Becoming a trusted source of knowledge across the practice

Who We’re Looking For

This role could be ideal for someone who has reached Lead Nurse or Senior Dental Nurse level and is asking: what’s next?

You will ideally have:

• Strong dental nursing experience
• GDC registration
• Previous Lead Nurse or senior clinical experience
• Excellent knowledge of dental treatments and terminology
• Experience within private dentistry
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Confidence working with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues
• A commercial mindset alongside a strong understanding of patient care
• The ability to explain clinical information simply and confidently
• A proactive approach – someone who sees a problem and helps solve it

Experience with implants, full-arch dentistry, smile makeovers or clear aligners would be particularly valuable.

A Different Kind of Progression

Not every experienced Dental Nurse wants to become a Practice Manager – and not everyone wants to remain chairside forever.

This role provides another route.

You can take the clinical knowledge you’ve built throughout your career and use it to lead, educate, improve processes and support the commercial and patient-facing side of a growing private practice.

You’ll essentially become the bridge between the clinical experts and the non-clinical team – the person people can turn to when they need clinical knowledge, context or guidance.
