The Role
As a MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle MET Technician, you'll be responsible for removing, repairing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components to support the accident repair process.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
·Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for panel repairs.
·Rebuilding vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring all components are correctly fitted.
·Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault-finding where required.
·Working alongside Panel Beaters and Paint Sprayers to ensure efficient repair processes.
·Following manufacturer repair methods and procedures.
·Using appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs safely and accurately.
·Carrying out quality checks to ensure vehicles meet the required standards.
·Maintaining accurate records and following workshop procedures.
·Keeping your working area clean, safe and organised.
 
About You
To be considered for this MET Technician position, you'll ideally have:
·Previous experience as a MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician.
·Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge.
·Experience stripping and refitting vehicle components.
·A good understanding of accident repair processes.
·Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
·The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
·A commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
·Hybrid and Electric Vehicle experience would be advantageous.
