TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT – 6 MONTH CONTRACT

We are recruiting for a Technical Accountant to join the finance team of a leading Liverpool-based organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The role will have a strong focus on year-end accounting, audit preparation and technical accounting support, making it ideal for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the year-end accounts process
• Preparing information and schedules for external audit
• Assisting with audit queries and providing supporting documentation
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules
• Supporting technical accounting requirements and financial reporting
• Assisting with month-end and year-end journals
• Working closely with the wider Finance team to ensure deadlines are met
• Identifying and resolving accounting issues

We are looking for:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Previous year-end and audit experience
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
• Able to work independently and liaise confidently with auditors and senior finance colleagues
• Available to commit to a 6-month contract
