LOCATION: Liverpool, Merseyside, North West England

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 9pm – 7am, Monday to Thursday

JOB OVERVIEW

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Spray Painter to join a skilled night-shift manufacturing team supporting high-quality aerospace component processing.

The Paint Sprayer / Spray Painter will apply specialist finishes to drawings, specifications and quality standards while working with minimal supervision.

Quality, safety and careful component handling are central to the Paint Sprayer / Spray Painter contribution, with clear shift handovers supporting efficient production.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Paint Sprayer / Spray Painter include:

• Component and Equipment Preparation: Prepare components, paints, coatings and spray equipment for production
• Paint and Coating Application: Apply paint and specialist coatings in line with customer specifications, drawings and SOPs
• Mixing and Coverage Control: Achieve the correct paint mixes, coverage, finish and coating thickness
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished components and identify defects or quality issues
• Production Documentation: Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Jigging and Component Handling: Jig and de-jig components where required and protect customer components throughout processing
• Equipment and Booth Maintenance: Maintain spray guns, equipment, tooling and spray booths to a high standard
• Issue Reporting and Shift Handover: Report quality, material, equipment or production issues promptly and provide clear handovers
• Production Targets: Work efficiently towards production targets without compromising quality
• Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance: Follow Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures and use required PPE and safety equipment correctly
• Housekeeping and Waste Handling: Maintain excellent housekeeping and handle, store and dispose of paints, solvents, chemicals and waste safely

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

• Previous paint-spraying experience
• Good understanding of paint preparation and application techniques
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow drawings, specifications and process instructions
• Good awareness of Health & Safety requirements
• Reliable and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Positive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement

DESIRABLE

• Paint-spraying experience gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
