Nustaff are seeking an experienced and dynamic IS Programme Manager to lead the delivery of critical information systems projects across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project professional to shape business solutions, drive change, and ensure the successful implementation of technology that supports operational excellence.

Working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers, you will take responsibility for the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, governance, and benefits realisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of multiple IT and business application projects from inception to completion.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery against agreed targets.
  • Co-ordinate internal resources, project teams, and third-party suppliers to achieve project outcomes.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, and documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings across departments and disciplines to achieve consensus and drive progress.
  • Negotiate and manage change requests, ensuring business needs are balanced against cost, risk, and delivery objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on project status, achievements, risks, and benefits.

About You

You will be a highly organised and influential project professional with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects and programmes. You will possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Formal Project Management qualification or training (such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PMP, or equivalent).

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of five years' experience delivering IT systems implementations or similar technology projects.
  • At least three years' significant project management experience leading complex and/or multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience managing external suppliers and third-party delivery partners.
  • Proven success delivering projects to agreed scope, budget, quality, and timescales.

  • Excellent project planning, organisation, and resource management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams where there is no direct line management responsibility.
  • Professional reporting, governance, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Diplomatic yet authoritative approach when facilitating discussions and driving decisions.
  • High levels of attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery


  • Location: Liverpool HQ
  • Pay: £28.74 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Contract: 10 months, with the possibility of extension
  • Hours: 22 per week, Monday to Friday
  • Working pattern: Office based
